On His Appointment As A Federal Permanent Secretary
Family and friends of Ambassador Nicholas Agbo Ella came together on December 31st, 2023, at Mt. Vernon New York, to celebrate with him on his appointment as a Federal Permanent Secretary.
Ambassador Ella has served in various capacities in public services, he once served as a deputy Director and Acting Director under Ambassador Aminu Bashir Wali, former minister of foreign Affairs and under Mr. Geoffrey Jideofor Onyema, a diplomat and politician, who also served as a minister of foreign affairs.
From 1999 to 2000 Ambassador Ella served as the 3rd ad 2nd Secretary, at the Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations in Geneva, from 2003 to 2007, he served as Counsellor at the Nigeria High Commission in New Delhi and from 2010 to 2013, Ambassador Ella served as Minister Counselor and Minister at the Nigerian Embassy in Beijing.
Prior to his appointment as a Federal Permanent Secretary and his deployment to the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Ambassador Ella served as Consul in charge of Immigration matters and Trade and investment, at the Consulate General of Nigeria in New York.
Ambassador Ella served in the Nigeria high commision Youdé, Cameron from April to June 2023, and at the Embassy of Nigeria, Dakar, Senegal in June 2023 before his appointment.
